A decent first attempt...

but needs a lot of work. First off your "Instructions" & "Credits" buttons don't work.
And the misspellings of 'olmost' and 'relplay' make it seem n00bish. You definitely need more than one level in your flash, for something simple like this. Make it go a little faster, your translucent slug thing goes way too slow. Maybe add coins or gems or something collectible. It really needs something more gameplay wise. Practice a bit and your next submission should be a lot better.

I uploaded the wrong one
And I always Make the game first... so then the credits & instructions

I couldn't hear it

I'm at the library so I had to do this with no sound. So I saved the swf to my flash drive and I'm going to take it home with me.

Fro responds:

Yeah, you need sound for this game. Make sure to check it out again.

Looks decent, but nothing new

This kind of thing has been around for years. Just check out the NGAP Radio http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view /361915
made way back in 2007. I use this kind of thing for background music in games when I'm too lazy to find something good and the song doesn't matter. It's about average. Try adding something nobody else has, to make it stand out a litle more.

Archawn responds:

This is the only radio with a visualizer.

Let's give noobs instructions to spam the portal.

Great idea, this was poorly executed, had bad grapics, no example quiz, bad text formatting, the code wasn't explained, and everything was just low quality in general. Why this took two people I have no idea.

piggy123 responds:

1 to explain and 1 to code and it does explain the code

It's a neat idea but poorly implemented.

You really needed to work on the graphics, and there still isn't any real story. I don't expect anyone will want to pay for a game with reversed controls.

dudejonne responds:

I have made this game already a while ago, so its nothing great. Had it on FlashGameLicense.com for a long time, but didn't work out. So now I just distribute it with Mochi, the paying thing is just something extra. I want to find out if anyone will buy it. Then I might use it for my next game.

Pretty good first try...

The color changing doesn't make any sense to me. It's a little slow, and I would have liked a little more precise shielding. Maybe something with masking or bitmap data. But an very nice first try, it didn't hold my interest enough to keep me playing very long though. What about adding power-ups or something so it's not just another space invaders clone? Practice makes perfect so keep at it, the graphics were nice and after you get a little more proficent you can expect some good ratings.

Snarfs responds:

Thanks for your comment!

Again, like the poster before you, try and get past level 1... There are power-ups! There are boss levels! Yes, the first 2 levels are boring, they're meant to be slow and easy for people who aren't that great at games :)

Also, the colour changing was an experiment for myself. If you turn your music on, just watch the first level for a bit, you'll notice the clouds change colour with the music :)

Good straight forward tut.

No frills, but it works. If I see a flood of n00b quiz games tommorow, I'm going to blame you for it.

VioletVulpine responds:

Oh no... N00bs DON'T MAKE THIS GAME!

Seems just like Icy Tower

Only no combos or checkpoints or different characters (That I found. Maybe the're in there if you play farther?). Could use a bit of improvement but not too bad altogether.

munsterkiler responds:

i'll improve it!
thanks

Thank you this is exactly what I was looking for.

I've made something similar to this for playing at home but had to reformat my computer recently. Would have liked better graphics but very good. Maybe something that detects illegal move and capture stones automatically.

P.S. I think the previous poster was talking about Othello.

Neo2222 responds:

Heh yeah, I didn't know how to detect illegal moves and what not when I made this, but that was about 2 years ago. And I'm sure you're right about the previous poster. Anyway, I'm happy to hear that someone found this submission useful. Thank you!
